    Künefe or knaef is a traditional middle eastern dessert. It’s made up of kataifi which is shredded fillo dough, filled with a sweet cheese, soaked with a simple rose syrup (which is known as attar) and topped with chopped or blended pistachios! What is the difference between künefe and knaef? Both are made up of the same ingredients except künefe comes from the Turkish cuisine and knaef comes from Palestinian Arabs.
