This strawberry jam is a family friends recipe. Perfect for topping off pancakes, crepes, cakes and more! Make this jam with freshly grown strawberries and you will be delighted!
Ingredients for Jam:
Strawberries: Fresh grown ripe strawberries
Pectin: SURE🍓JELL (premium fruit pectin).
Water: Regular filtered water.
Sugar: Granulated white sugar.
How to make the Strawberry Jam:
Washing Strawberries/taking off stems: Wash and remove the stems of your strawberries.
Blending strawberries: Blend your strawberries until they become into coarse pieces, not puree.
Making the syrup mixture: Into a heavy bottom pot, add your sugar and pectin. Mix with a spoon or whisk until well combined. Then add in the water and mix. On a low heat allow the syrup to come to a light boil; constantly mixing. Take off heat.
Adding syrup to blended strawberries: Pour your syrup into the strawberries and mix it right away. Allow jam to cool down.
Storing into boxes: Evenly pour your jam into containers and close with a lid.
Placing into the freezer: Store them in the freezer and once ready to use, unthaw a container and refrigerate.
Strawberry Jam
Ingredients
- 4 cups of Strawberries blended until coarse blend
- 3 cups of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 1 pack or 1.75 oz of SURE JELL (premium fruit pectin)
Instructions
- Wash and remove your stems off your strawberries.
- Add the strawberries into the blender and blend until they become coarse pieces not puree.
- Into a heavy bottom pot add your sugar and pectin and mix until well distributed.
- Then add your water to it and mix.
- Bring your syrup to a light boil and remove from heat right away. Make sure you are constantly mixing when the mixture is on heat.
- Pour your syrup into the puree and mix.
- Allow it to cool and distribute your jam into containers, cover with lid and place into the freezer or enjoy it fresh!
- If you choose to freeze it, when ready to use, unthaw it and store in the refrigerator.
