Hot Canapés

Hot canapés is a childhood recipe that we still enjoy till this day! They are quick to make and are gone quickly when they get to the table. Perfect and an easy appetizer for your next hosting!

Ingredients for hot canapés:

Bread: Dinner rolls or a french bread sliced.

Sauce: Ketchup and mayonnaise.

Kielbasa: Polska kielbasa (made with pork, turkey, beef).

Cheese: Shredded mozzarella cheese.

Dill: Fresh or frozen dill.

How to make hot canapés:

Cut your dinner rolls: Cut your dinner rolls in half.

Make your sauce: Into a bowl add your mayonnaise and ketchup. Mix until well combined.

Dice your kielbasa: Dice your kielbasa into cubes.

Shred cheese: Use shredded mozzarella or shred your cheese.

Form your canapés: Onto your dinner roll add your sauce, kielbasa, cheese and top with dill.

Baking: Bake your canapés in the oven at 350F for about 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.

  • 6 dinner rolls
  • 3/4 cup +2 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • 3 1/2 tbsp of ketchup
  • 1 cup of diced kielbasa
  • 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh or frozen finely chopped dill

Instructions
 

  • Slice each of your dinner rolls in half.
  • Chop your kielbasa into cubes and shred your mozzarella cheese.
  • Make your sauce by combining ketchup and mayonnaise.
  • Form your canapés by spreading your sauce, then top with kielbasa, cheese and dill.
  • Place onto a sheet pan fitted with parchment paper and bake at 350F for about 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
  • Serve Hot and Enjoy!
