Shrimp Scampi

Vibrant, satisfying and filled with a buttery garlic sauce; Shrimp Scampi. With a spicy kick from the tabasco and worchestire sauce, you will fall in love with this recipe! 

Ingredients:

Shrimp: Jumbo raw shrimp.

Butter: Melted unsalted butter.

Lemon: Lemon slices.

Garlic: Minced garlic.

Worcestershire sauce: Gives good flavor.
Tabasco sauce: For a good kick!
Parsley: Finely chopped fresh parsley.
Spices: Red pepper flakes.

How to make shrimp scampi:

Prepping shrimp: Devein and remove the shell off the shrimp keeping the tail on. Wash and dry your shrimp. Season both sides of your shrimp with salt and black pepper.

Cooking shrimp: Melt butter in a cast iron or regular pan on a medium heat. Allow it to melt and add in your garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Add in your shrimp, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce, red pepper flakes and lemon slices. Cook your shrimp 2-3 minutes per each side or until the internal temperature reaches 120F. Top with fresh parsley.

Toasting French bread: Slice your French bread and and lightly oil each slice on both sides. Season each slice on one side with salt and black pepper. Toast your bread on a grill, pan or oven until golden.

  • 1 lb of jumbo shrimp
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp of tabasco sauce
  • 5 lemon slices
  • 2 tbsp of finely chopped parsley
  • 1 French bread
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Devein and remove the shell off the shrimp keeping the tail on. Wash your shrimp in cold water and dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  • Melt butter in a cast iron or regular pan on a medium heat. Allow it to melt and add in your garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant. Add in your shrimp, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce, red pepper flakes and lemon slices. Cook your shrimp 2-3 minutes per each side or until the internal temperature reaches 120F.
